With the arrival of monsoon, people living in Uttarakhand are quite often stranded and affected with heavy rains and landslides. Life comes to a standstill with no connectivity to the bigger towns.

At such a juncture, the MIF Health Centre in Ukhimath in District Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand organized a health check-up camp on 28 and 29 July at Saraswati Vidya Mandir school where 240 children and 30 adults including parents and school staff were examined and treated by Dr. Chandan Ravi who is incharge of the Health centre. While general health examination was done for the children, blood sugar and blood pressure checks were done for the adults and appropriate medicines were given. The population was educated on health issues.

During the month, other muti-speciality health camps were held in Mussoorie and Dhakrani in Uttarakhand; and Railmajra in Punjab where respective doctors from Max Super Speciality Hospitals Dehradun and Mohali served the needy patients. 916 people benefitted in these camps.
