MIF exhibited the true spirit of “Seva Bhav” at the 9th Artificial Limbs and Polio Calipers Camp which was organized in association with Manav Seva Sannidhi at Raphael Centre, Dehradun from 18th - 21st April, 2017. 205 physically challenged people from Dehradun, Mussoorie and surrounding areas were provided free limbs. We feel privileged to be able to help the needy and make their Disability their Ability. The experience was very overwhelming and we are happy to share few heart moving stories from the camp.
1. Yash (2.5 year) He was born without a left leg. He got the lim b fitted at our camp. His mother is overwhelmed to see her naughty son running all around.
2. Brij Mohan (30year) He was affected by Polio; was unable to stand on his feet for the last 30 years. Life took a positive turn and finally he could experience what it means to be independent.
3. Sateshwari Devi (54 year) she was hit by a truck 6 months back. She will be using the limb for the first time. She hopes to lead a normal life with the help of an artificial limb.
